Tim Bainey Jr. Fast Facts - Iowa Speedway

2 de setiembre de 2009

Tim Bainey Jr. and the #00 Aaron's Lucky Dog NASCAR Truck Series Team will look to make their 3rd start of the season this weekend as they head to Iowa Speedway for the Lucas Oil 200.

"We've done a lot of work in the last two and half weeks," said Bainey "We've been getting better each time out this season, but after Bristol we found some problems and did a lot of suspension work to this truck. I'm sure we'll still be working to figure this stuff out, but I think we've put a pretty good package together."

"I also want to say a big thanks to Ken Schrader and his team. I know people probably always heard good things about him and I just want to say he's a great guy. What a great group of people he has. Those guys really helped us out after a tough day at Bristol."

Bainey does have two career starts at Iowa Speedway, both in the USAR ProCup Series. He was running 11th in his last trip there, when an ignition problem ended his night in the No. 00 Aaron's Dream Machine.

"I like the track," answered Bainey. "It's a really nice place to run, the facilities are awesome, the fan turn-out is always incredible. It's a great place to go and I'm looking forward to getting the Aaron's Lucky Dog Truck back on the track."

Crew Chief Dan Bainey was also enthusiastic about the current state of the team. "We're getting better each week. Timmy's learning new things every lap in the truck and I'm doing the same on top of the pit cart. We're starting to get the rhythm of things at the track. It's just one of those things that pretty much everything has been new to us this year. I'm excited with where we are at right now."

Bainey and his Aarons' Dream Team will be competing with heavy hearts this weekend as his grandmother (Ruth Bainey) passed away this past weekend.

"It's been a tough weekend for our entire family," said Bainey. "I'm fortunate to have one of the closest families you'll ever meet. We'll be thinking about everyone back home, and hopefully we can have a good run with Gram in our hearts."

The Lucas Oil 200 will be televised live on SPEED Wednesday night, September 5th at 9:45 p.m.

Bainey and the Aaron's Dream Team Express Tour will continue their nationwide tour with a number of appearances surrounding the Iowa NASCAR Truck Series Event. They will be hitting Aaron's stores in South Bend, IN; Portage, IN; Iowa City, IA; Peru, IL; Three Rivers, MI; Bowling Green, OH; Toledo, OH; Fremont, OH; Elyria, OH: and North Warren, OH.
