Friday, June 23, 2006 - AARON’S DREAM MACHINE RACES SATURDAY AT MILWAUKEE MILE
(June 23, 2006) – Aaron’s Busch Series driver David Reutimann prepares to nail his third top-ten place in three weeks as be runs a doubleheader weekend for a third week in a row, this time at the Milwaukee Mile. Reutimann will race in tonight’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race before taking the wheel of Aaron’s Dream Machine tomorrow for the NASCAR Busch Series race. Reutimann enters the one-mile oval following an eighth-place finish in the Dream Machine at Kentucky Speedway and a sixth-place finish the week prior at Nashville Superspeedway.
“I think we’ll be really good in both races this weekend at the Milwaukee Mile,” Reutimann said. “During the last Busch race, Greg Biffle’s car made contact with the Aaron’s Dream Machine after completing only 20 laps. By Lap 100, we entered the top-10 and pretty much stayed there. We ran as high as fifth during the race and posted a respectable finish. We’re definitely turning the corner. I’m thankful both teams allowed me to run both races these past few weekends. The great people at Michael Waltrip Racing made it logistically possible to do it. I can’t wait to get to Milwaukee to run both races again.
Reutimann’s best NCTS finish at the Milwaukee Mile is 23rd (6/24/05) and his best NASCAR Busch Series finish is fifth (6/29/03).
“Milwaukee is another track that I enjoy,” said Reutimann. “The first time I raced a Busch car there, I finished fifth in the No. 87 car owned by Joe Nemechek. I hope to have another good run for all the people at Aaron’s and Michael Waltrip Racing. Everyone has been great to work with and I’m glad to have had the opportunity to run some Busch races for them this season. I haven’t had a whole lot of luck there in my Toyota Tundra, but I know we’ll be strong. My guys are on their game and we want this championship. It’s in right in front of us right now and we’re in a good place. We’ve just got to keep doing what we are doing.”
Live coverage of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200 airs tonight beginning at 9pm EST on the SPEED Channel. Live coverage of the NASCAR Busch Series AT&T 250 starts on Saturday, June 24th at 8:30 p.m. Eastern on FX. MRN Radio will broadcast both events.
